North Lodge Park is right outside North Cottage. There's a boating pond, and the North Lodge tea rooms has a supply of free to use model boats - they also sell cakes and crepes and the proceeds help maintain the park. Cromer is also known for golf. The Royal Cromer Golf Club is just 3 minutes drive away! Golfers from around the world come to experience cliff-top golf at its very best (visitors with a golf handicap welcome).

Further afield you can take the Poppy Line steam train along the coast from Sheringham to Holt (April - October) enjoy boat trips from Blakeney, visit the Georgian market town of Holt, or travel into Norwich (trains run from Cromer station every 60 minutes, journey takes 40 minutes).

One of our personal favourite day trips is to the Old Vicarage Garden at East Ruston which, if you love gardens as much as we do, is a must see. It's a very large garden created from bare fields - it has a fabulous cafe serving tea and cakes. East Ruston is 30 minutes drive (16 miles). There is an admission fee.
