Last Thursday evening we headed to the historic Diss Corn Hall, Norfolk, for the 2026 Visit Suffolk & Norfolk Tourism Awards.

Hosted by ITV News Anglia’s Chris Page, the evening was a wonderful celebration of the incredible hospitality our region has to offer.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that North Cottage Cromer was awarded Runner-Up for Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year 2026.

Coming hot on the heels of our achievement last year, when we were crowned Self Catering Accommodation of the Year 2025, this latest accolade makes us one of the few winners to have been recognised at the very top level for two consecutive years. We’re overjoyed to be acknowledged for maintaining the very highest standards year after year.

The Best in Norfolk

The top spot this year went to a beautiful collection of 8 individual one and two bedroom eco-lodges, sleeping 2-4 guests, over the border in Suffolk. We are incredibly proud to remain the highest-awarded large-group holiday home in Norfolk.

In tourism, where trends are always shifting toward the “new and shiny,” we believe that the elegance and soul of a traditional Victorian country house never goes out of style. The awards judges clearly agreed, recognising our commitment to an extremely high level of hospitality and welcome, and providing an exceptional heritage home where large families and groups of friends can gather together under one roof.

Consistently High Standards

For us, this award isn’t just another trophy to polish; it’s recognition of the standards we set for ourselves. We know that when you are booking somewhere special for 12 guests, you expect to have a great holiday or celebration in the very best of surroundings.

Whether it’s our commitment to a dog-free, pristine, and spotlessly clean interior, or our amazing location just steps from the Cromer beach and pier, we strive to offer something truly unique. It’s also why we are proud of one statistic that wasn’t even on the judges’ scorecards: three out of four of all our bookings for this year are from families returning for a second, third or fourth stay with us. Thank you to all our guests who return year after year and call North Cottage Cromer their special place.

Another Great Year Awaits our Guests

Looking ahead we want to say a huge thank you to every single one of our wonderful guests, whose support allows us to keep North Cottage looking its best, and to the judges for acknowledging our place among the very best tourist accommodation in East Anglia.

As we move into the 2026 season, our calendar has very few spaces remaining, so if you’re thinking of celebrating or holidaying in Cromer with your friends or family please don’t delay!

Whether you’re planning a grand family celebration or a long-awaited getaway with friends, we invite you to come and experience Norfolk’s award-winning home by the sea North Cottage Cromer.
